On Saturday the twenty-eighth, the Varsity Girls had a tournament at home. First of all, I want to explain to you how great our team is! Honestly, I wouldn't trade this team for the world. These girls are like my sisters and always encourage me to do my best! And they always cheer me on even if I make stupid mistakes.
There are six teams that were in the tournament: North Muskegon, Hesperia, Potters House, a home schooled team, West Michigan Lutheran, and one other team that I forgot the name of! All in all we did pretty great on Saturday! Our first game we played was against Heritage and we ended up tying that one. Then I think our second game was against North Muskegon, and we tied that one too! Then we took a break and chilled a bit, and then we played Lutheran, and won that game! Then we played the home school team and beat them too! We made it in the finals!!!!
In the finals our first game was North Muskegon, which over all was probably the best team there (other than us). We beat them in the first game, lost the second, and came close but lost the third too. It wasn't all bad though because we got third place overall! Overall I am really proud of how my team played Saturday, and I am looking forward to a great rest of the season! Also, I want to make a shout-out to Becca Wolffis, she is such an amazing person and awesome at volleyball! I am so glad she chose to come to Calvary! She makes volleyball all the more fun and I'm really glad she's playing with us! :) ALSO, I am so glad that Arisa is on our team! She's so sweet and a great addition to the team! :)
